She is best known for her role as Judy Kramer from the 2005 Fox television show Point Pleasant and Marcy Brender from Dawson's Creek. On the Guiding Light soap opera, Dollar played Marina Cooper. This role was a winner of an award from the Soap Opera Digest magazine in 2003 for Outstanding newcomer. Between 2007 and 2008, Dollar was a character on Cindy Thomas on the ABC TV series Women's Murder Club. She starred on the 2012 NBC pilot Happy Valley but it was not picked up.
