She was born on March 29 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her name. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She has Mexican origins, however she is American by nationality. Since she was a child she's had a keen desire to participate in sports. Gerina began playing golf when she was 15. Gerina completed her high school education in Goddard High School. In high school, she won at the New Mexico state golf tournament. Also, she played volleyball at the national level. In the year 2003 she was enrolled in the University of Texas. During her senior years she took home every single tournament she competed in. During her college career she won an award called the Conference USA Player of The Year award and the UTEP Female Sports Athletics Award.
