April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4 in 1995. As a seventh-grade student, she started taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love for music writing. At the age of seven, April began taking piano and guitar lessons. This ignited her interest in writing songs. When April was 14 years old, she dedicated an enormous amount of time making song concepts and perfecting her music. She started writing songs alongside her father and her dad in NY and LA soon after. April began to include various other topics relevant to the song, which she called the Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure issues and suicide among teens. Lockhart works in partnerships at famous Clean Beauty brand Ilia as well as an influencer in the lifestyle industry with a huge following of her own. She was born without her left hand and that is part of her story, but that's not the entire story. Lockhart's Twitter profile does not conceal her being disabled however, it doesn't concentrate on the fact that she is disabled. It's a reminder. The message? That we have many different aspects, that our physical and identity selves are not all that appear. I do not want this to be the only thing that defines me. I don't want to be a disability influencer where that's all I speak about since there are other things about me Lockhart speaks via video from her home in Nashville. My everyday life isn't affected by it. I live my normal, everyday life and find my own solutions to issues. But, I consider it to be a vital aspect of me. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey will be one that lasts an entire lifetime. She has been a source of inspiration with regard to this. She admits that she's been through periods of being uncomfortable with her body and sometimes not being confident in wearing specific types of clothes that showed off her arms. Now she wears whatever outfit she wishes and shares pictures on Facebook in awe. To her, self-love was always a lengthy journey. It's a journey, I don't think you ever arrive. I think that having people with you who know you and see your feelings is crucial because they'll be the people that remind you of what are you concerned about?
