Taylor-Joy quit her school at 16 in order to pursue an acting career. Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive along with Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is half English and half Spanish. His father was Argentine, of Scottish-English descent. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy was born into a clan of six children. Four are her siblings of the marriage that she had with Taylor's dad. Buenos Aires was her home up until the time she reached age 6 when the family relocated into Victoria at London. Taylor-Joy claims that the move into London was difficult and that she didn't study English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend after switching from Northlands. Later she attended Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in productions. When she was 16 she dropped out of school in order to pursue a full-time career in acting. Taylor-Joy's desire to become a professional actress began at a very young age.
